Retirements at the A.G.M....
Our company Secretary Dympna Mawn and P.R.O. Oliver Haslette have unfortunately retired after numerous years of hard and dedicated work for the business community of the area. They will be greatly missed but these fine developments will always be testimony to their tireless work for the community.

Membership & Information on the Forum

The A.G.M. of Manorhamilton Enterprise Forum was held on Thursday night May 25th 2006. As mentioned in the adjacent 'Company News' column, two directors did not let their names go forwarded for re-election, there were two new directors elected on the night namely Eileen Bredin and Clare McGauran. See full list of officers and directors in the table below.

In June 2004 we delivered the first of our training courses. This was a Start your Own Business Course. There were nine individuals in attendance, this resulted in four new business starting up. This was a fantastic success.
In September 2004 we delivered a course called Training for the Retail Industry . This was attended by 15 people it covered three distinct training interventions. Retail Selling Skills & Customer Service Health & Safety in the Workplace, Basic Food Hygiene. This was a very successful course.

Business Growth & Survival was next, this was delivered in November 2004 with nine participants. It covered the following issues:- Strategic Business Planning, Developing a Marketing Strategy, Developing Sales, Legislative Requirements, Funding Applications, Financial Management and Pricing Structures. This programme was delivered in the form of 20 individual mentoring training sessions focused on the individual participant needs. In February 2005 another Start Your Own Business Programme was delivered in the form of structured training workshops & mentoring sessions. Nine people availed of this course, to date 7 have established or are advancing their new business ideas.

The next was A Childcare Training Course this was a joint venture with County Leitrim Childcare Committee. 7 childcare groups from North Leitrim took part, from our review of evaluation forms there was a very high satisfaction rating with this programme.
There has been numerous group training sessions and mentoring sessions delivered in 2005 with over 100 individual beneficiaries.
To date in 2006 we have delivered 20 mentoring sessions to people who requested them.
